Overview
The City of Belleview Finance Office is responsible for the financial reporting and record keeping of the City. This office encompasses Fiscal Oversight and Internal Controls that include: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Audit and Budget. These Financial responsibilities provide public financial services and transparencies in accordance with established city and financial policies and accounting standards.
Mission The mission of the Finance Office is to recommend and implement sound fiscal policies, ensure the effective and efficient use of fiscal resources, establish controls to adequately safeguard assets, and to provide the public with reports which demonstrate fiscal accountability and transparency in accordance with the highest administrative standards.
Purpose
The Finance Office develops and implements financial and accounting policies and procedures. It also provides a sound accounting system for protecting the City's assets by recording and reporting financial transactions in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, Government Accounting Standards Board pronouncements and other legally mandated standards.

Current Fiscal Objectives
2012 Budget Book-The 2012 Budget Book has been completed in accordance with GFOA requirements and submitted to that organization for review.
2011 Audit- The 2011 Audit is completed with all reporting completed and submitted to the City Commission.
2011 CAFR. The 2011 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) has been completed, submitted and approved by the Belleview City Commission and is in preparation for submittal to the State and to GFOA for review.
